Parks is two years old. He is the first facility dog(治疗犬) at the Orlando Health Hospital for Children. He works with his special skill(技能).

The dog is now part of the medical team. He is very important to the team. Parks knows a lot of commands(指令) to help the patients(病人) relax. He is still learning more. When he plays with children, he makes them happy and helps them become healthy. Some children need some special care. Doctors and nurses can’t provide(提供) the care. But Parks can give it.

There are 475 facility dog teams, and about 70 of them now work in hospitals. They provide help and facility dogs for free. The dogs are all very smart. They get a lot of training. They learn how to help people. And they want to work and make people happy and healthy.
