In Shandong, there’s a big tomato plant. It grows 2 meters tall, like a tree! Scientists use special ways to make the plant so big. It can bear (结) 3,000 kilos of tomatoes every year. The tomatoes taste like normal ones.
This plant is very strong. It can live for twenty years! But growing it is not easy. The plant needs lots of space and taking care of it needs much money. If the plant dies, farmers lose much. Most farmers don’t grow it.
