Officers found a dog in a woman’s checked-in bag at a New York City airport. The seven-year-old pet lied in the bag while its owner was packing.

One of the officers at the Airport noticed it after an alarm went off during the screening process on 3 March. As soon as the officer opened the bag, he was shocked to see a small dog lying inside with other clothing.

The airport phoned the airline to get the owner. The owner seemed to know nothing about the dog. The two were happily reunited, and the woman called her husband to take the naughty pet home.

It is not clear whether the dog’s owner made her American Airlines flight to Los Angeles.

The airport said: “It’s always important to double check your bags before traveling.”
