China is considering making a law that would ban smoking in all kinds of indoor public places and outdoor space in kindergartens, schools, colleges, women’s and children’s hospitals as well as the other public place. It is a good news for children and women all over China. They don’t need to smoke the second-hand smog any longer in public place. Now let us have a look at the other countries laws about smoking.

Ted from France said: “I find smoking a danger to my health. However, Smoking bans in public places has been somewhat successful in Western countries. Unfortunately, it seems that it is young women in the West who have taken up smoking now.” 

Smoking is banned in the Netherlands in all public places, including nightclubs, cafes, etc. And that is a good thing! But they can smoke outside a bar.

Mary from USA said: “I started using electronic cigarettes six weeks ago and they don’t break any non-smoking laws here in the state of Ohio. These e-cigs are very good, they feel and taste just like smoking a real cig, the ‘smoke’ that you exhale is not smoke, but tastes like a real cigarette.”

In the UK smoking is banned. In Dubai it is banned in shopping malls but in nightclubs and bars people can still smoke.

In Russia, It would be impossible to have enough officers to enforce a ban on smoking in public places. People who smoke often seek out areas where they know they will not be around people.
