A little dog named Queen lived inside an animal shelter (收容所) in Merriam, Kansas for 400 days. One day in September, animal lover Scott Poore decided enough was enough. Once he heard about how upset Queen had become from living in the shelter for so long, he decided to do something to draw some attention to the homeless dog.

After Scott met Queen, he was even more determined (坚定的) to help her find her forever home. He decided to live with her until she was adopted(收养). After seven days and seven nights, Queen found her forever home!

As for why he didn’t simply adopt Queen himself, Scott reminded people that as an animal lover he meets poor animals every day. “I can’t adopt every animal that I help because then I will have 1,000 animals in my house,” said Scott. Once Queen had found her home, this dog lover moved on to find the next animal who needs him.
