It’s 2023. Little Salvatore Cicalese of San Tan Valley, Arizona lived through every kid’s worst nightmare when he found his mom was in danger in the shower.

Salvatore Cicalese was born in 2018. One day, he heard a sound from the bathroom and decided to have a look. Then he found his mom didn’t move in the shower, and he was afraid. He then wrapped(裹) up his baby sister in a blanket(毯子) so she’d feel safe and could find his way to the neighbor’s house. Jessica Penoyer, their neighbor, happened to be home when she found Salvatore came with his baby sister in his arms.

“He’s standing there and he’s holding something and I thought it was a doll,” Jessica said. At first, she thought that Salvatore was trying to tell her that “his dog died.” But once she finally understood the terrible situation, she called 911 and explained that Salvatore thought his mom had died in the shower. Thankfully, they soon realized Salvatore’s mom was having a seizure(癫痫发作) and just passed out. But, if Salvatore had not gotten help, this story may not have gotten a happy ending.

“Honestly the little hero(英雄) saved my life,” his mom, Kaitlyn Cicalese, said. “If he didn’t get help, I would die.”
