Adam Adkisson said it was a usual day at work until he noticed an envelope(信封) on the ground in their store. “I didn’t think anything of it at first. I thought there were no things in it, but I thought I’d go back to make sure. I picked it up and opened it. It had money.” Adam said. Adam turned the envelope in to his manager(经理), Alissa Rocchi.
“I thought to myself he or she didn’t know they even lost it here. It was just sad at that point,” Alissa said. So, she decided to turn to the Internet for help. But in order to find out the right person, she didn’t give too much information.
“I got a message on the Internet. A man named Mark said ‘that’s my friend’s. It’s his money. He is worried now.’” Alissa said. Mark was able to make sure it belonged to his friend by describing the appearance(外观) of the envelope and the words written on the back. After making sure everything was right, Adam and Alissa gave the envelope full of cash back to the owner.
“I am glad that Mark often uses the Internet and was able to see that because I would have never seen it,” said Johnathon Clayton, the owner of the envelope. Clayton says he planned to use the money to buy his little ones a Christmas gift. He went to the store to personally thank Adam and Alissa and leave a small gift behind.
