A group of 17 football fans from Kochi, Kerala, bought a house on sale to watch the FIFA World Cup matches together. In Mundakkamugal, a small village in Kochi, the deal was closed for about $2,8000 (¥200,000 ) so the fans could watch the games under one roof.

One of the buyers, named Shefeer, said, “We planned to do something special for FIFA World Cup 2022. 17 of us purchased a house already on sale for about $2,8000 and decorated(装饰) it with flags of FIFA teams. We’ve also planned to gather together here and watch matches on a big-screen TV.” 

The group didn’t just buy the house, they also completely changed the look of the house by painting the team flags on the walls. The buyers have painted the house with colours of Brazil, Argentina and Portugal flags. They have also hung many flags on the roof of the house. Besides this, they have also painted the sporting legends(传奇人物) on the walls.

According to reports, the group of football lovers had developed a tradition to watch football games together, long before even planning to buy the house. Only this time they decided to buy a house to watch FIFA World cup together. Talking about the future of this property, “In the future, our next generation(一代人) can also enjoy this gathering and their unity will continue”, Shefeer said.
