喜剧课程别出心裁 温情抚慰焦虑人群

Comedian Angie Belcher has teamed up with the NHS to create comedy courses for people fighting with trauma(精神创伤).

You’ve probably heard the phrase, “__________” Comedy on Referral has taken that idea and run with it, using stand-up comedy to help treat people fighting with trauma with the NHS.

The idea came from comedian Angie Belcher’s experiences teaching comedy at Bristol University. She found that students often told her how stronger they were thanks to stand-up comedy, so she teamed up with the NHS in Bristol to create a six-week comedy course in January 2022. Following the success of this course at first, Comedy on Referral won NHS funding(资金) to help men at risk of killing themselves in London. “Comedy doesn’t come from the happy, perfect moments of our life, but from our everyday troubles and big life events. People who’ve been through big life experiences often can’t wait to tell me their sad story, mostly because there’s always something weirdly(古怪地) funny about the situation,” said Belcher.

How do you feel about the idea? Come and improve your health and happiness through the stand-up comedy courses! They will give you the tools and support to write and perform your first 5-minute stand-up comedy piece. You’ll get to control the narrative of your terrible experiences and bring about a new version using comedy. This course will surely help you to find the funny part of your sad story!
