Emma is a Spanish girl. She is one year old. When she was one month old, doctors found that she had a problem with her intestine(肠). Her intestine was too short. Her body couldn’t get enough(足够) energy from food.

Emma’s health got worse very quickly. She needed a new intestine. When she was 11 months old, doctors transplanted(移植) a new intestine into her. She also got other body parts. They help her digest food.
