At around 1:45 a.m., Heidi heard a terrible sound and woke up. She found their 4-month-old cat, Thor, was shouting and seemed very sick. She picked him up, and brought him outside for some fresh air. After the cat seemed much better outside, she opened a window in the house and went back to bed.

“Half an hour later, the cat started shouting again,” Heidi said. “It woke me up again, but this time, I had sweat through all my clothes. I wasn’t able to move. I felt really sick.” When Heidi didn’t respond(回应), Thor went to the kids. Finally, 13-year-old Paige and 11-year-old Quinn realized something was wrong. Heidi woke up on the floor with her family trying to revive her. They made their way outside, and then Heidi’s husband Ronald passed out.
