A monsoon(季风) brings rain to Southern Asia. It happens(发生) every year from May to September. This year’s rain is much heavier than usual. Floods(洪水) happen in all parts of Pakistan.

A lot of people lose their homes. They don’t know where to go. More than 1,200 people lose their lives. Floodwaters destroy(毁掉) homes and roads. Pakistan asks the UN for help. The country needs 160 million dollars.
