Low-carbon lifestyles(低碳生活方式) are popular among young Chinese. Many university students are fascinated by them.

According to a new study, 97% of university students think low-carbon lifestyles are good. About 95% of university students want to take part in environmental protection activities(环保活动). “Low-carbon lifestyles are good for the environment. Now, young Chinese like living a green life,” said Li Zhuo, a student at Wuhan University. Li often joins activities to guide people to sort(分类) waste at weekends.

“In China, we can see the ‘low-carbon’ slogans(标语) in many places, such as subway stations, cinemas, school dining halls and other places. So the idea of low-carbon lifestyles is popular in the country,” Li said. “Young people are always happy to learn new things. So they would like to live a green life first.”
