According to CCTV News, China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) announced that during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, it will initiate feasibility studies for the “Tiangong Kaiwu” major project. The plan includes establishing a comprehensive experimental and ground support system for space resource development, focusing on breakthroughs in key technologies such as small celestial body resource exploration, intelligent autonomous mining, low-cost transfer and transportation, and in-orbit processing.
