On January 28, twin panda cubs Xiaoxiao and Leilei, who had been living in Japan, safely arrived in Chengdu. To ensure their smooth and secure return, China sent experienced veterinary experts to Japan in advance. These experts took part in their care and feeding, familiarized themselves with the cubs’ habits and daily routines, and worked alongside Japanese specialists on behavioral training, routine health checks, and fitness assessments. Accompanied by both Chinese and Japanese keepers, the twin cubs were escorted back to China on the same flight.
