A study finds that primary schools are not giving students much time to eat the food in their lunch boxes.
The study says children need at least(至少) 15 minutes to finish their lunch. But many primary schools only give students 10 minutes of eating time.
Dr Claire Margerison and Dr Melissa Burton said children are more likely(可能地) to finish eating food in their lunch boxes when they are given more time to eat.
“With little time to eat, children are more likely to eat the most delicious foods in their lunch box first. That is bad for children’s health and study,” Dr Burton said. Dr Margerison added(补充说), “Giving children just five extra minutes to eat their lunch will be very good for their body and will help their learning.”
