The Three Gorges on the Yangtze River are world-famous. They are the most beautiful part of the Yangtze that ships can sail through. The Three Gorges were once dangerous for shipping because of the fast-flowing water. But great changes happened after the main project of the Three Gorges Dam was completed in 2006. After its construction, the river level rose. The river became calmer and easier to sail.
