Chinese short track speed skating Olympic champion Wu Dajing officially announced his retirement on January 6. The 31-year-old, who has secured numerous honors for China in the sport, participated in three Winter Olympics. He clinched the men’s 500m gold medal at the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics, marking the country’s first gold at those Games. At the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, he helped the Chinese team win the mixed team 2000m relay gold.
