Madagascar(马达加斯加) is an island in Africa. There are lots of green forests and many different animals. People think it is a very beautiful country. But those are all things of the past. Now Madagascar has some problems.

Trees often stop strong winds. But people in the south of Madagascar cut down almost all of the trees. Now there are few trees. When people plant seeds(种子), the wind blows them away! Another problem is that there has been no rain for five years. It happens because of climate change(气候变化). It is very dry there now. People can’t grow anything. So a lot of people in southern Madagascar have no food. More than a million(百万) of them will need help from other countries.

Scientists say things may become worse. More people will have nothing to eat. Madagascar can be the first country to have famine because of climate change.
