放下电子设备,走进“离线俱乐部”

In a world full of phones and screens, many young people are trying something new: turning off their devices. The Offline Club was started by Ilya Kneppelhout, Jordy van Bennekom, and Valentijn Klok. It helps people take breaks from technology. Their idea is simple: “Swap (交换) screen time for real time.”
At Offline Club events, people leave their phones at the door. They read, play board games, or talk to each other for a few hours. The club began in the Netherlands and has spread to cities like London, Paris, and Buffalo.
Jayren is a 20-year-old man from London. He believes using smartphones too much makes people more quiet and shy. It also makes people not good at making friends or talking to others.  “People feel lonely but don’t try to connect,” he said. So he joined the club to make friends.
Now the club has over 530,000 followers on the Internet. It serves as the very tool to help people discover the joy of disconnecting. From workshops to game nights, the Offline Club shows that life without screens can be full of joy and friendship.
