Connor Halsa is a 14-year-old boy. One day, he caught a wallet while fishing with his family on Lake of the Woods.

“I thought I had a big fish, so I ____1____ lifted the fishing rod (鱼竿),” he said.

There was a total of $2,000 inside the wallet. “My dad said we should give the wallet to the person who had ____5____ it. We did it. We found a business card in the wallet and called the ____6____. In the end, we got in touch with the owner. The owner turned out to be Iowa farmer Jim Denney,” Connor said.

A year ago, Denny was fishing on the same ____7____. He was sitting in the boat, which was rocking from side to side, ____8____ his wallet slipped (滑落) out of his pocket and fell into the water. He didn’t even ____9____ it was missing until he had to pay for the boat trip.
