他乘坐过最多航空公司的飞机环游世界

Experienced traveller Indy Nelson has flown on 170 unique airlines, most of them during an 18-month trip around the world that he started in 2017 at the age of 22. He first got the idea to visit every country on Earth during a spring break trip to North Korea, which he describes as a “cool country”. So, after graduating college, he took out an $80,000 loan and started a journey around the globe.

Indy had a variety of interesting experiences along the way, being in a tourist destination on one day and finding himself in an active war zone the next. Indy tried avoiding conflict zones as much as possible, carefully planning his route around them, but in Africa he found it more difficult because of the volatile nature of some areas. For example, the day before he went to the Central African Republic, some UN personnel were killed there. “Things happen in 24 or 48 hours,” Indy said. “You can’t plan those things out.”

Indy’s favourite airlines were Emirates and Qatar Airways, although he admitted “any in the Middle East are awesome.” Luckily, he didn’t have any bad experiences with any airlines — of the roughly 500 flights he took, only two of them were cancelled, and they resulted in Indy enjoying free hotel stays while waiting for another flight. Indy made a point of booking morning flights, which are less likely to be cancelled or delayed.

Last year, Indy added eight more unique airlines to his record, but he has put all future travels on hold for now to focus on his new small telecommucation company which provides mobile data to under-served communities. Indy said he might not have started this new attempt if not for the perspectives he gained through his world travels.

A To stay the same all the time.

B To become popular recently.

C To avoid wars easily.

D To change suddenly and unexpectedly.

A Always taking Emirates and Qatar Airways.

B Always changing planes in the Middle East.

C Booking flights taking off in the morning.

D Staying in free hotels when waiting for flights.

4.4.Why does Indy stop travelling now?

A To better plan his future travels.

B To concentrate on his new business.

C To serve the communities around the world.

D To sort out his world travelling experiences.
