Concerts and music festivals have reached the highest point since the second quarter of this year. A total of 342,400 commercial performances were held across China in the first three quarters of 2023, up 278.76 percent from the same period last year, according to data from the China Association of Performing Arts (CAPA). And just in the first nine months, there were 1,137 large-scale concerts and music festivals across the country, attracting 11.45 million people.
The young audience watching these shows are not content with simply listening quietly any more; they happily join in, singing along loudly with the performers. During one of singer Wu Bai’s concerts, he found himself far from singing alone as his fans made the event a very large karaoke session (演奏会), joining in with loud singing. Even after his performance concluded, the audience didn’t want to leave. They continued singing his songs together.
Wu Bai tried to take his stage back, but finally gave up and played as a concert conductor. His voice even couldn’t be heard because of audience’s enthusiastic (热情的) singing. Some Internet users joked that Wu Bai doesn’t even need to appear at his own concerts. As long as the place for the concert and date are set, the fans can hold “a Wu Bai’s concert without Wu Bai.”
Why are young people willing to join in with loud singing at concerts or music festivals? On the one hand, the communal (群体的) singing is not only a way to show their love for the performer, but also a way of social interaction. Since young people can meet like-minded friends at concerts or music festivals, the communal singing can make them feel a sense of understanding and identification with each other. On the other hand, for some young people, the communal singing can serve as a way of relaxation, providing them with a way to deal with the stress in their daily lives.

2.The underlined word “concluded” can be understood as __________.
