A tornado (龙卷风) hit the Czech Republic. The country is in the middle of Europe. Tornadoes did not happen often in Europe. Many tornadoes happened in some places, but nobody lives there.

Many strong storms hit the southeastern Czech Republic on June 24th, 2021. The speed of the wind was more than 219 kmph. Hailstones (冰雹) fell from the sky. They were as big as tennis balls.

Three people died in the storms. More than a hundred people must go to hospital. Rescuers (救援人员) looked for more hurt people. Rescuers from Slovakia and Austria helped them. There was an emergency situation. The Czech government asked the EU for help.
