澳大利亚原住民古遗址因采矿被毁

In western Australia, 46,000 years ago, aboriginal (土著的) people made rock shelters (庇护所). Rock shelters were homes in the rocks. People lived in these shelters for a very long time. The shelters were famous.

In May 2020, a mining company talked to the owners of the shelters. The company did not listen to them. It made a mine in the place. It destroyed the shelters.

Many people were angry. One of the leaders talked with an aboriginal group. He was sad. He also said that the company and the group needed to work together. He did not want this to happen again. The company was in trouble. The boss and some leaders lost their jobs.
