It has been over 50 years since American astronaut Armstrong — the first man — stepped on the moon and we are still dreaming of exploring outer space. Perhaps a career as an astronaut is not for you. You might be more interested in floating among the stars in a space hotel.
The Gateway Foundation is a company in California. It has recently announced a plan for the world’s first commercial space hotel. The hotel looks like a huge wheel. It is made up of 24 modules. There will be guest rooms, restaurants and cinemas. Tourists can also enjoy fun sports, such as low-gravity basketball and rock climbing. It feels quite different from the earth because the gravity is low and you can pull things farther with the same strength.
The company hopes that space will become a great new vacation destination. The space hotel will be open to the public in 2025. Space tourism is expensive — Richard Branson's Virgin Galactic plans to launch passengers into sub-orbital space at a high price of $250,000 per person, per trip.
Given the design is still exactly — just a design — there are some questions we need to answer about how the space hotel will work in actuality. For example, it’s been suggested that living in low gravity for an extended period of time is damaging to the human body. While vacationers will probably only visit the hotel for a few weeks, workers will plan to be there for six months to a year.

B It will be built by American government.

C It allows people to do everything they like.

D It will provide many entertainment activities.

There will be guest rooms, restaurants and cinemas. Tourists can also enjoy fun sports, such as low-gravity basketball and rock climbing.

2.Why is doing sports on the space hotel different from that on the earth?

A Because doing sports on the space hotel is easier.

B Because the gravity on the space hotel is low.

C Because the ball on the space hotel is smaller.

D Because people get more strength on the space hotel.

It feels quite different from the earth because the gravity is low and you can pull things farther with the same strength.

3.How much should you pay if you want to go to the space hotel with your parents for a trip?

A $250,000.

B $500,000.

C $750,000.

D $1000,000.

Space tourism is expensive — Richard Branson's Virgin Galactic plans to launch passengers into sub-orbital space at a high price of $250,000 per person, per trip.

4.How long could a waiter work in the space hotel?

A At most a year.

B At least a year.

C At most 6 months.

D At least a few weeks.

解析:选A。 While vacationers will probably only visit the hotel for a few weeks, workers will plan to be there for six months to a year.
