Gentle Carousel Miniature Therapy Horses(GCMTH) is a non-profit organization based in Florida but operates word-wide, doing business in New York, California and as far away as Greece. The group began twenty years ago. It focuses on bringing miniature therapy horses to immobile people.
The charity has 25 such horses. They travel a lot to be with and comfort thousands of people every year. Magic is one of these horses. Once, Magic went to visit a patient in a hospital. The patient hadn’t spoken to anyone during her three years there. But the moment she saw Magic, she said, “Isn’t she beautiful?”
It was a moment that changed the patient’s life. The director of GCMTH was so surprised to hear the patient speak that she began to cry. She told the patient that she loved her. “I love you, too” was the answer.
