公园庇护所预订指南

With temperatures struggling to stay above zero, it might be hard to think about spending a day at the park. But La Crosse’s Parks and Rec Department says it’s best to get an early start on reserving any shelters you may want to use for events this spring and summer, because there are not enough shelters for the increasing number of people who want to use them.
City residents can now call the department to book dates between May 1st and October 14th. Those who don’t live in the city can still reserve a shelter starting next week. Whether it’s for a family reunion, graduation party or wedding, city officials say the parks provide more than just a venue.
“A lot of the parks where the shelters are have other amenities, so whether it is at Black River Beach, you have the beach. Or at Pettibone, you have a very large forest and you can find the lake area in Veteran’s Park. In Richland Center you’ve got playgrounds for kids to play, so a lot of the parks offer different amenities for people looking for something to do in the summer,” said Parks and Rec Superintendent Kerry Gloede.
Booking fees will be quite different depending on the size and location of the shelters. Rates are also higher for non-residents. You can find a full list of available shelters and fees on the Parks and Rec Department’s website. Just look for the necessary information that you need on that website.
