Sheldon is seven years old. He got many nice presents from his family on his birthday, and one of them was a drum.
“Who gave him the drum?” his father asked.
“His grandfather did,” answered Sheldon’s mother.
Sheldon liked his drum very much. He made much noise with it, but his mother didn’t say anything about it. His father was not at home in the day. He was working at a school. So he didn’t hear the noise.
But one of the neighbors didn’t like the noise at all. So one morning she took a knife and went into Sheldon’s room. Sheldon was making noise with the drum. She said to him, “Hello, Sheldon. Do you know there is something very nice in your drum? Here is a knife. Open the drum and let’s find it.”
