How often do you wash your bed sheets(床单)?
We spend more than a third of our lives in bed. But our bed can quickly be an “amusement park(乐园)” of bacteria(细菌) and fungus(真菌), according to New York University scientist Philip Tierno. If our bed sheets left for too long, the bacteria and fungus of our bed sheets will even make us sick. Philip Tierno said sheets should be washed once a week.
Humans naturally produce about 26 gallons(加仑) of sweat in bed every year. “If you touched dog poo(大便) in the street, you would want to wash your hands,” said Tierno, “If you saw how dirty your bed sheets were— but of course you can’t see it— do you want to sleep in that?”
