了解当地习俗,愉快旅行

Three foreign visitors were in England. They came to a underground station and waited. About ten minutes
later, the train came. They were just going to get on when suddenly there was a loud noise behind them. People
rushed onto the train and tried to push them out of the way. Someone shouted at them. No one had told them about the English custom of lining up for a train that the first person who arrives at the underground station is the first person to get on the train.
If a visitor goes to India, he should remember that using the left hand to pass food at table is impolite. The left hand is supposed to be used for washing yourself. You might see a man shaking his head to show that he doesn't agree. But in many parts of India, a shake of the head means agreement. In India, you shake your head to mean "yes" and a nod means "no". In Europe, it’s quite usual to cross your legs when you are sitting, talking to someone even at an important meeting.
If you want to have a pleasant visit, find out as much as possible about the manners and customs of the
country you visit.
