Well-known Chinese poet Yu Guangzhong died on Thursday December 14th 2017, at the age of 90, according to Taiwan-based media udn.com. Yu was in hospital after suffering a stroke and had pulmonary infection(肺部感染).

　　He was born in Nanjing, China in 1928. But he fled with his family during the Japanese Army’s invasion in World War II. After returning to Nanjing many years later, he again was forced to flee to Taiwan via Hong Kong in 1950. Yu dedicated half a century to literary creation and his masterpiece Nostalgia（《乡愁》）has caused much resonance among ethnic Chinese around the world.
