       Jack and Henry worked in the same factory in the past. One day, Jack lent(借) Henry ten dollars, but then Henry left his work and went to work in another town. He didn’t pay back the money.

       Jack didn't see Henry for a year. Then he knew from another friend that Henry was in another town and stayed at a hotel. So he went there to see him late at night.

       When he got to Henry's room, he saw his shoes near the door. "Well, he must be in," he thought, and he knocked the door, and said, "I know you are in, Henry. Your shoes are out here."

       "I’ve gone out in my boots(靴子)," answered Henry.
