美国欲退出联合国教科文组织

The US is pulling out of the UN’s cultural organization UNESCO, accusing it of "anti-Israel" bias.
The State Department said it was also concerned about mounting money which should be paid to UNESCO by America and said the agency needed to be reformed. 
UNESCO head Irina Bokova said the quit was a matter of "regret". The quit was a loss to the "UN family" and to multilateralism(多边主义), Ms Bokova added.
The US will start an observer mission at the Paris-based organization to replace its representation, the State Department said. The decision follows a set of UNESCO decisions that have caused criticism from the US and Israel.
In 2011 the US called off its financial plan to the agency in protest(抗议) at its decision to give full membership to the Palestinians. 
The US quit is also caused by a wish to save money, Foreign Policy magazine reported.
