China's National Day holiday falls on Oct 1 and ends on Oct 7 every year. For Chinese, the holiday is not only to celebrate the foundation of People's Republic of China, but also a shopping opportunity.

With the National Day holiday lasting seven days, many decide to visit friends or relatives living far away. Wherever you go, spending money on transportation is necessary, apart from those who decide to stay at home. The amount can range from one yuan for public buses to thousands of yuan for plane tickets.

No 2 Traveling expenditure

With the long break and pleasant weather, many people would like to travel during the golden week. However, the total expenditure can be hefty. Transportation cost, hotel expenses, tickets and other expenses can cost a lot. 

No 1 Shopping

In order to attract more customers, retailers usually offer discounts during the national holidays. They not only put everyday items on sale, but nearly everything and anything that will help boost sales. One netizen said he spent more than 20,000 yuan on shopping during the national holidays.
