A little dog has broken hearts across South Korea after sitting loyally outside its owner's home for three years unaware that its owner had been taken to a nursing home with dementia. An elderly woman from the southern port city of Busan adopted the little lovely pet a few years ago and named it Fu Shi.
The pair lived happily until the owner was hurt badly in her brain by chance one day, which eventually led to dementia. Because of her serious illness, the woman was taken to a nursing home where she was receiving constant specialized care. When the woman went there, the dog was left behind, but loyally remained outside the home waiting for its owner to return.
Many kind people reported that the animal could be seen at the long lane by its owner's house every day, according to OC. The animal reportedly returned inside the abandoned house at the end of each day and survived by eating food left out by neighbours.
An animal rescue charity was eventually contacted and after a vet gave it a complete check, the animal was determined to be 8 years old. It was also found to be suffering from some kind of the worms which do harm to its health for a long time. It then was given a treatment and made a full recovery after a few weeks in the animal rescue charity. After a lot of media reported the animal, Fu Shi was adopted by another family and has been renamed as Sky. Hopefully, it can live a happy life there.
