地震逃单6万元,各方呼吁游客回来买单

Some restaurant owners in China are wanting customers to settle unpaid bills. They didn’t pay and ran away after they felt the shake. The claimed bill was up to 60,000 yuan.
The earthquake happened on Tuesday, August 8 near the famous Jiuzhaigou National Park in Sichuan, southwest of China. According to the latest report, at least 13 were killed while over a hundred people were injured.
According to a report by South China Morning Post, one of the restaurant owners Mr Sun said he understands why the customers ran away in the shake, since lives were at stake. Unfortunately, 33 meals went unpaid at his restaurant. Three of the customers went back to settle their bills, but that still leaves 7,000 yuan to worry about.
The same cases also happened across several other restaurants within Xian’s Xiaozhai Saige shopping centre, in China’s Shaanxi Province. An official from the shopping centre similarly called out to the customers who ran away, to return and settle their bills.
