Koala is a kind of cute animal only to be found in Australia. They are considered as a symbol of Australia. And they are sent to other countries like America, China, France as a gift. But they are all kept in zoos in these countries. You can see them in the wild only in Australia. They have no natural enemies. The koala’s only food source is the eucalyptus tree (桉树).
       Victoria State is in west Australia.In Victoria, the number of koalas increased a lot in recent years. This was a problem because the koalas nearly ate all of the eucalyptus trees and then they had nothing to eat.
        Last year, people moved 500 koalas to other forests, and they want to keep the number of koalas down.However, it will be some years before the destroyed eucalyptus trees grow back.
