A woman in Hong Kong has been spotted balancing on the ledge of a seven-storey balcony, a recent video shows. A man, suggested to be her husband, stood on the balcony and held the woman's legs as she stretched out to wipe the glass without any safety harness.
A shocked neighbour filmed the dangerous scene which took place in Hong Kong on May 7, reported local media. The video was filmed at a residential compound in Tseung Kwan O district on Sunday afternoon, according to  Apple Daily.According to the report, the incident took place at a residential unit in Tower 1 inside the compound, whose name is The Wings II.
The woman's neighbour, surnamed Siu, was shocked to see the woman squatting, standing and stretching on the balcony ledge in order to reach every corner of the windows.  Despite a 70 feet drop to the street below, the woman appeared casually as she cleaned the window. She constantly stretched her body to reach the upper window while her husband held her by the waist to prevent her from falling.
In order to balance, she had to hold the edge of the window using her right hand. Two little girls, believed to be the woman's daughters, helped by handing her the glass cleaner. Later, the woman climbed off the ledge and stood on a chair. She bent down to clean the glass of the balcony. “It's the seventh floor and she might fall onto the balcony on the lower floors. Each floor is 10 feet tall,” Siu told Apple Daily.  “It isn't worth risking your life to clean windows,” she added.
The video has sparked much discussion among readers online. “A clear window, or your life, which is more important?” One reader asked. “Why didn't they buy a window cleaner with a longer pole?” Another reader wondered. “The flat owners below will be frightened by their behaviour.” A third one joked.
