A man was violently removed from a United Airlines flight by police officials at Chicago’s O’Hare international airport on Sunday. And all this was captured on video by several other passengers.

In the video, guards can be seen grabbing and then dragging the passenger down the walkway of the plane, which was flying to Louisville, Kentucky. Other passengers can be heard screaming and shouting “Oh my God!” and “Look at what you did to him!”

The airline said in a statement that the flight was overbooked, and that no passengers agreed to give up their seats. Overbook means the airline sold several more tickets than the seats. It’s allowed because usually there would be some people canceling their travel before the flight took off. Then the airline could reduce its loss through overbook.

United Airlines said airline crew chose four passengers to leave the plane based on ticket class, frequent flier data and check-in time. And that one man selected refused to leave his seat because he had an appointment with his patient the next morning. Officials then asked for the help of the guards, who removed the man with force. They asked the four people to leave because they need four seats for their crew members. And these people are going to work on another plane in Louisville, or that flight would be canceled, airline spokeswoman Maddie King said.

The Chicago aviation department said later that one of the officers had been placed on leave and will be reviewed. Federal transportation officials said they were reviewing whether United Airlines complied with overbook rules.
