A Chinese swimmer has become famous after a funny interview in the Rio Olympics. Fu Yuanhui had just finished racing in the 100 metre backstroke semi-finals on August 7 when she conducted the interview with China Central Television Station (CCTV) and was shocked to find out from the journalist of the time she posted. 
After she was informed of her time, she stared at the camera with her mouth wide open in shock, reports the People's Daily Online. 20-year-old Fu, representing People's Republic of China, posted a time of 58.95 seconds in the semi-final held at the Olympic Aquatics Stadium.
The woman from east China's Hangzhou city told a reporter from CCTV, “I thought it was 59 seconds. Am I that fast?” As she spoke with the journalist, she was completely surprised with her result, pulling shocked faces.  
Since her interview, she has become a hit online with people posting screenshots(截屏) of Fu's surprised face. On China's Twitter, like Weibo, people have praised her for her genuine reaction and have also expressed gratitude at her efforts in representing China. One user wrote, “This is a more natural reaction. We are proud of your results and efforts.” While another commented, “This is actually really cute.” And another user said, “Every time I see this, I laugh!”  Since the interview was broadcast, the number of followers on her social media account on Weibo has risen from 56,000 to over three million in two days.
On August 9, Fu went on to compete in the finals of the 100 metre backstroke winning a bronze medal. Katinka Hosszu from Hungary took the gold medal position, while the USA's Kathleen Baker took the silver medal. Fu Yuanhui shared the bronze position with Canada's Kylie Masse.
