A new report shows what life might be like in 100 years from now. It describes skyscrapers that are much taller than today’s buildings, underwater cities, and holidays in space. Researchers asked 2,000 adults about the predictions they thought were most likely to happen in the future. They predicted that in the future, few people will go to an office. Most people will work from home and have online meetings. People will have advanced 3D printers (打印机). 3D printers can “print” sofas, tables and even pizza at home. There will also be less need for visits to the doctor. Families will have doctor robots at home. These robots can tell us what the problem is and give us treatment (治疗). We will also be going into space for holidays. We can get resources (资源) from other planets. They even predict that people won’t need to learn English any more.
