An Indian drone(无人机) went into China’s airspace and crashed on its territory. The incident took place in recent days. But the exact location is not given.
The Indian army said the drone was on a training mission and there was a technical problem. They said they lost control of the drone which then crossed into Chinese airspace. They reported this to China soon after.
The two countries saw relations become worse this summer when they became locked in a dispute(争端) over a Himalayan plateau. In remarks carried widely by state media outlets, Chinese border forces had conducted “verifications” of the drone. China expressed its strong dissatisfaction and opposition(反对) regarding this matter and that it would protect the country’s rights and safety.
The two nations fought a bitter war over the border in 1962, and disputes remain unresolved in several areas which cause tensions to rise now and then.
