In recent years, Chinese people are willing to celebrate the western festivals, especially in the big cities. But about 15 years ago, it was hard to buy the western festival gifts in the supermarket. Most of the Chinese people just celebrated the traditional Chinese festivals.
Now, it’s very easy to buy the gifts of celebration for western festivals. You can hold a party in your home. You also can mix the Chinese customs with the western festivals.
As I know, young people wish to make different festival atmosphere. On Thanksgiving Day, they can write a card for their friends and colleagues(同事) that they really want to thank in the past year. On Halloween Day, they can play various roles and ghosts. The children can ask adults for sweets. There are many interesting customs we can experience.
________ We need to take part in different activities to prove that we are the part of the society. On the other hand, we should suit the outer world. The world is developing fast. We have to keep the pace and accept more western festivals. We should keep closely in touch with the world. More and more people can speak more than two languages. It’s much easier to know the western culture for Chinese people.
