James Trounson is a firefighter (消防员). These days, he has a new family member. Let’s read more about his story.
One day, Trounson got a call. Someone’s house was on fire. When he arrived at the house, he found the person had passed away. He also found a little dog named Martha. The dog stayed by her owner’s side (旁边) and didn’t want to leave even after help arrived.
“The little dog jumped into my arms,” Trounson said. With no one to care for Martha, Trounson wanted to take her to a shelter (收容所) at first. But the dog’s loyalty (忠诚) and cuteness quickly won him over. He took Martha home and became her new owner.
