Sadie had an owner (主人) before. But her owner gave her to the Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge (RBARI) in New Jersey because of her moving home. Sadie missed her owner very much. She was sad.
A few months ago, Brian entered Sadie’s life. He gave her a second chance at life and took her to his home. Last week, Brian and Sadie stayed at home. Brian had a stroke (中风). Sadie never left him. Sadie licked Brian’s face to keep him awake. She then helped to drag (拖) him across the room to his phone. So Brian could call for help.
Now, Sadie is staying with Brian’s family while he is in the hospital. They make sure to have a FaceTime call every night.
