On march 5th, 2018, the 90th annual Academy Awards ceremony ended. The Shape of Water 《水形物语》has taken the top honors at the Oscars. It tells about a woman who falls in love with a sea creature. The Shape of Water won the most Oscars with four, including best film and director.
“I want to tell you, everyone that is dreaming of using fantasy to tell the stories about the things that are real in the world today—you can do it,” said Del Toro, who also took home the best director prize. Del Toro also earned a Golden Globe and Directors Guild Award this season for helming the movie.
Bryant’s retired film Dear Basketball won the award for best animated short film. This is Bryant’s first Oscar nomination(提名) and award for the first time. He also became the first in the history took the gold medal in the Olympics, the NBA championship ring, and the Academy Awards.
“I feel better than winning the championship, to be honest with you. I swear I do,” Bryant told news media. Bryant, who played 20 seasons, has started his own production company in retirement(退役), Kobe Studios.
