Nearly a quarter of adult Americans have zero savings. They have no savings to pay for emergency situations. Bankrate says that 24 percent of Americans have not saved any money at all for their emergency funds.
The survey found that 31 percent of Americans think enough money means six or more months' worth of money to pay expenses. It shows that nearly two-thirds people of the country aren't saving enough money.
1,003 adults are surveyed. Bankrate found that people aged from 18 to 26 frequently are used to saving three to five months' worth of expenses. 27 percent of the young generation say they have three to five months' of savings as emergency funds.
