People celebrate Mother’s Day by attending church and writing letters to their mothers. While many countries of the world celebrate their own Mother’s Day on different days and at different times throughout the year, there are some countries such as Denmark, Finland, Italy, Turkey, Australia, and Belgium which also celebrate Mother’s Day on the second Sunday of May.
Today, Mother’s Day is a day honoring mothers, when you thank your mother’s dedication(奉献) to your life and pay a tribute to her, often with flowers and cards. But of course, we should not need a special day once a year to do this. We can and should express our love and care for our mothers every day, and do things for her every day, not just on Mother’s Day.
