A mummy(木乃伊) that was found in Mongolia(蒙古国) has gone viral because it seems to be wearing Adidas shoes. People have said that the mummy shows that time travel is true. The mummy was found in the Altai Mountains in a part of Mongolia. It is around 1,500 years old. The mummy's shoes look like a pair of snowboarding shoes made by the sports company Adidas. The shoes have the same three lines that Adidas is famous for putting on its shoes. A picture of the shoes has gone viral. People are saying that the mummy is a modern human who travelled back in time.
The mummy's grave was found in 2010 by local farmers. Last October, experts started digging. They thought there were many important things. The experts found vases, wooden bowls and metal kettles. It was the first complete Turkic burial ground found in Central Asia. Turkic people started living in a place between Central Asia and Siberia around 2,600 years ago. They had their own language. The colour blue was very important in their culture. Some historians say the word “turquoise” comes from the word “Turkish”.
